I’m originally from Texas but now live in England, after spending 18 wonderful years in Germany. My husband is French, and our son is currently studying for his Master’s degree in Ireland. I feel super lucky to get travel to so many amazing places!
Although I trained as a teacher, I found my calling as a librarian! I worked in a bilingual school library for 16 years and absolutely loved it. Recommending books, reading books, illustrating books — and most of all, making any kind of book — brings me great joy.
I’m a self-taught writer and illustrator, and I especially enjoy using my iPad and the Procreate app to create my artwork. Nature is a huge source of inspiration for me. As I walk, my mind fills with characters and story ideas — many of which have become part of my Eliza Spies books, with many more books and stories of all types to come!
